Learning Development is committed to improving the educational experience of students at Queen Mary University of London. We do this by working in a variety of ways, both directly with students and with academic and professional services colleagues.
We offer students guidance through:
• one-to-one tutorials
• tailored workshops
• writing retreats.
These activities help students develop insights and practices that will contribute to their success whilst at Queen Mary.
We also collaborate with academic teachers to:
• improve the design and practices in modules and programmes
• expose students to more effective and engaging learning opportunities
• help students to become successful in their disciplines and beyond Queen Mary.
Our team aims to bringing together students’ experience with the expertise of academic schools and professional services to respond to the demands of the Queen Mary context and the wider needs of today’s students.
If you’re an academic and would like to work with us to explore an element of learning and teaching in your discipline, please visit our Thinking Writing site or contact Kelly Peake, Head of Learning Development (firstname.lastname@example.org).
